WINSTAR Ltd. has been one of the most famous lighting manufacturers in Taiwan since its establishment in 1996 in Taipei City. In 2016, WINSTAR had its named changed into WINSTAR Co., Ltd. and relocated the headquarter to New Taipei Industrial Park. At the initial stage, the company operated its business mainly through export trade, in which the products included fluorescent tubes, halogen lamps, gas discharge lamps, and ordinary light bulbs as well as other lighting products. Our target markets include Northern & Western Europe, USA, Japan, Central & South America. In 1998, the company expanded its business to domestic sales market, not only selling lighting products such as light bulbs and tubes but also developing various kinds of lamps along with other peripheral equipment. Soon after that, in 2002, we built up an assembly plant in order to provide better products and service. We also took orders in the ways of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Equipment) so as to satisfy customized needs from different markets. We have been dedicated to developing and promoting energy-saving lighting for so many years. In recent years, we have also specialized in the design, production, and marketing of LED lamps. Our company is one of the few Taiwan-based manufacturers which are capable of creating, designing, molding, assembling, marketing, and maintaining their own lamps. In other words, we own the advantages of integrating the chains of the lighting industry. We are proud and confident to provide our customers with all-inclusive solutions and services. In 2017, we began to invest in the development of intelligent lighting systems as well as health lighting industry. In the meantime, we are also actively extending our interest in the area of renewable energy, devising energy-saving plans, and energy storage systems. We will certainly continue the expansion of our business in the light of our corporate philosophy, which is based on the concept and principal of “vertical and horizontal diversification.”

2000
we developed UV counterfeit money detectors, which were used by many well-known banks.
2002
・We developed T5 fluorescent lamps of large sizes and aluminum chandeliers.
・We set up an assembly plant in Taiwan.
2003
・During the SARS pandemic, we developed UVC sterilizers.
2006
2008
・We set up another assembly plant in Taishan.
・We joined the government procurement and signed the joint supply contract. Hence, we became the contractor of
Taiwanese government.
・We developed LED lamps and products.
・We improved our UVC sterilizers and increased different types.
2009
・We expanded the Taishan assembly plant.
・Our annual turnover successfully exceeded 100 million NTD (US$ 3.3 million) for the first time.
・We became the manufacturer and contractor of government procurement.
2010
・Our assembly plant was relocated to “Wugu Industrial Park.”
・We began to produce and sell LED lighting products.
・We developed our first model of 15-cm recessed downlight and marketed it.
2016
・To increase our management efficiency, we combined our headquarters and the assembly plant in “New Taipei
Industrial Park.”
2017
・We developed energy storage systems and began selling them in the market. In the meantime, we also actively
invested in both devising energy-saving plans and the development of intelligent lighting systems.
